Boot from microSD card

Boot the Raspberry Pi from microSD while using the external drive for blockchain and application data.

Not every Raspberry Pi can boot directly from an external drive. If yours can't, or your USB-SATA enclosure is picky, this guide sets up a split configuration: boot the OS from a microSD card, then mount the external drive for all the application and blockchain data.

Install Go

Install, update, or uninstall the Go toolchain, which several bonus tools require.

Upgrade external drive

Migrate from a smaller to a larger external drive as the blockchain outgrows your current storage.
